Pleasure Platters was born from the passion and creativity of Kindle Burrows, a North Philadelphia native raised by her Great Grandmother. Watching her family cook, Kindle learned the power of food to bring joy. Inspired by the rich culture of her community, she turned her love for serving others into a business. After overcoming personal setbacks, Kindle launched Pleasure Platters, now a cherished part of the community.

In 2017, Kindle’s world was turned upside down when she lost her job of 13 years. But with determination and support, she turned a tough situation into an opportunity. By 2023, Pleasure Platters became a beloved brick-and-mortar restaurant, offering delicious platters that serve up warmth, comfort, and a taste of her childhood.
